Drawing of Ahmed Shah Massoud. (1953-2001)

He was an Afghan leader who fought against the Russians, and later the Taliban. His organization of the Northern Alliance is given credit for how the alliance remained intact after his death, when he was assassinated by Al Qaeda terrorists two days before the September 11 attacks.

From everything I've read about him he was a great man. He supported the education of women, never rose his voice against his wife, and his tactics continually defeated the Russians in Panjshir, earning him the nickname "the Lion of Panjshir." He is considered a hero by many Afghans.

Sucks he was assassinated. I wonder how if he was alive today that would affect the rebuilding of Afghanistan.

Peaceful islam loses the fight cause it follows some rules not to do some things - the fighting islam has no rules of that kind.
